Rules

• All students must wear school uniform while attending classes. This uniform may be purchased from the school, and a list has been compiled of necessary attire for referral when ordering. *
  
• Although this school is co-educational, the dormitories are not, and students are not permitted to have members of the opposite sex in their dormitories past eight o'clock. Dorm advisers carry out spot checks after eight from time to time, and anyone found not to be in their dorm (or near by) will be located. If the student is in a dormitory belonging to anyone of the opposite sex, both the missing student, and the students in the dorm will be punished.
  
• On the subject of dorms, there are to be no more than three students staying in any one dorm. There are three beds provided, no more.
  
• Alcohol, drugs or any illegal substances are not permitted on campus. Depending on the seriousness of the substance possessed, actions taken can range from school punishment to getting the authorities involved.
  
• No unauthorized parties are to be held on campus. If you wish to hold a party in a dormitory, social lounge or any other site on campus, you must first seek permission from the person in charge of the site (be that the dorm adviser or head of administration for other buildings), then notify a member of the rules enforcement staff so that they may have someone on hand if the party gets out of control.
  
• No sports are to be played on the front lawns. These stretches of grass are in memory of our first principal, who passed away some hundred years ago, and are not to be spoiled. Students face temporary expulsion if caught disobeying this rule.
  
• Every term, there will be upgrading exams for students too advanced for their grade's work in a certain subject. Students can only be entered in these by their subject tutor if he or she feels they can handle the next grade. Students have before been found to be faking entry slips to get into these exams. These slips now have special pin codes, and if any student is found to be faking a slip, they will receive punishment.
  
• Rushton prides its self on exceedingly high exam results, and has done for some years now. If students are not attending classes, this will effect their overall grade and not only detriment them, but the schools reputation, which is unacceptable. If students are found to be skipping class, they will be punished accordingly.
  
• At Rushton, we encourage cultural diversity and understanding of different cultures. This means that from time to time, we will have students from other prestigious schools around the world, and we expect nothing less than total politeness and general friendliness towards these young people.
